What localization costs

A localization budget comes down to five things. Here is how each one moves the price.

  1. Word count

    Localization is priced per source word: from $0.03 on Starter, $0.04 on Growth. Repeated text matched by your translation memory costs less.

  2. Number of languages

    Each target language is a separate translation, so the budget scales with the languages you add. Start with the markets that bring revenue.

  3. Quality level

    AI translation post-edited by a native linguist (MTPE) costs a fraction of human-only translation, typically around $0.12 per word on the market.

  4. Content type and setup

    Legal, medical and certified documents need specialists. Software, apps and websites need file handling and in-context QA, which we scope per project.

  5. Turnaround

    Growth delivers in 24 hours, Starter in 48 hours. Certified rush is +40% of the translation price.

Pricing questions

How much does localization cost?

With FAS, localization starts at $0.03 per word for AI translation post-edited by a native linguist, or $0.04 per word on Growth with your translation memory and glossary. A 10,000-word website into one language comes to about $300 to $400. Engineering work for apps or complex sites is quoted per project.

Why is MTPE cheaper than human translation?

The AI writes the first draft and a native linguist edits it to publishable quality, so the linguist's time goes on judgment, not typing. Human-only translation typically runs around $0.12 per word.

Is the price on this page the price I pay?

These are starting rates. Before any work starts you get a fixed quote, and the price in that quote is the price you pay.

What is not included?

Official fees, such as apostille, legalization or visa fees, and international postage. They are passed through at cost and shown separately in your quote.

What if an authority rejects a certified translation?

If it is rejected for a translation-quality reason, we correct and re-issue it free.

Why are some services quoted per case?

VietnamHelp cases and pipeline projects vary too much for a fixed list, so we review yours first and send an itemized quote.

How and when do I pay?

Your quote says how. Some projects need a deposit before work starts; the quote says whether yours does and how much. Prices on this site are in US dollars; clients in Vietnam are quoted and pay in Vietnamese dong (VND).
